How do I choose the right size for a Pakistani lawn suit?

Choosing the right size in Pakistani lawn suits is simple once you measure yourself correctly and compare your numbers with our size chart. Every AFZA suit is cut on standard South Asian sizing — measured in inches — and most customers who take three measurements (bust, waist, hips) get a perfect first-time fit. Order your usual size if your measurements fall between two sizes only when the outfit will be tailored with margins; otherwise size up.

What you need before you measure

• A soft measuring tape (fabric tape, not metal)
• Well-fitted, everyday clothing — measure over light clothes, not bulky ones
• Stand straight, breathe normally, and keep the tape snug but never tight

Step-by-step: how to measure yourself

1. Bust: Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, keeping it parallel to the floor. Do not pull tight — the tape should just touch.
2. Waist: Measure around your natural waistline, the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the belly button.
3. Hips: With feet together, measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat.
4. Shirt length (kameez): Measure from the top of your shoulder down to where you want the hem to fall — mid-calf is typical for lawn kameez.
5. Compare: Match your largest measurement to the chart below. When between sizes, choose the larger size for comfort, or the smaller if you plan to have it stitched fitted.

Unstitched suits: our unstitched 2-piece and 3-piece lawn includes 2.5–3 metres of shirt fabric plus trouser cloth, which is enough for sizes up to XXL with standard tailoring margins.

Should I size up in lawn suits?

If you fall between two sizes, yes — lawn suits are usually worn with light inner stitching and a slightly relaxed drape looks better than a tight one. If you are ordering stitched-to-size tailoring, choose your exact bust measurement instead.

Are Pakistani sizes the same as US/UK sizes?

No. Pakistani sizing runs by bust measurement in inches and is typically one size smaller than US ready-to-wear. A US 6–8 usually corresponds to M (38) in our chart. Always compare measurements, not labels.
